I'm back... for now

Sorry its been a few months. I needed a break from blogger-- for a few reasons... #1 no matter how many times I try I cannot get my writing to post left to right. Its always centered (so annoying!) #2 every time I try to post with multiple pictures I end up spending HOURS getting the pictures placed just right. And as you can see by all of the gaps between my pictures I gave up! #3 it just takes too long. Facebook is so much faster!
So now I have had my fill of blogger and will continue looking for a free blogging place out there that is more 'Allison Friendly'.

See you again in 5 months ;)

Florida here we come!!

My cousin Heather and I were able to suprise our families with a trip to Orlando! We drove down and our husbands flew in a few days later (lucky schmucks!). The drive was a long 20 hours but we created alot of memories!

Melbourne Beach

We went to the beach one day with Lisa and her kids. They all had a blast playing. The sun was super hot though so by the time we left we could see all of the places we missed with sunscreen... OUCH!

sUpER fUn!

When we were in Orlando we went to Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. We had a blast! Max wanted to ride the Hulk so bad but he ended up being 2 inches too short :( So a picture with the coaster was all we could do this trip- maybe next time :)

Universal- Suessville

Suessville was really fun and the kids were able to go on everything so that was a bonus!

Universal - Harry Potter

They weren't lying... Harry Potter is AWESOME!!

SLC Temple

Max is totally OBSESSED with the Salt Lake temple. For at least the past year he will draw it during sacrament meeting. He knows all the facts-- its in Utah, took 40 years to build, is the biggest LDS temple... all that. Max is such a sweet boy and it really warms my heart that he loves this temple so much. My parent were sealed there a year after they joined the church in 1974. So its special for me too.

Hard to catch with the camera... but totally worth the wait!

It's still winter (sigh) so to pass the time, here are a few recent favorites...

The author of this blog is so creative and gives great idea's for what I am totally in to... kids, creating and fun!!

The Love Comes Softly DVD series from Janette Oke. I know that the books are totally different than the movies but these are fun and sappy and everything a Little House on The Prairie fan (and that would be me) would love!

This fabulous piano I found for FREE on Craigslist. My husband & father-in-law were WONDERFUL and went up to Wisconsin to pick it up for me. The kids are loving it and I am too! Now we just need to take some lessons ;)

Mal's new ability to work my cell phone. She takes pictures and video of EVERYTHING! (even herself) It's fun.

December was busy!

Christmas afternoon with the family... we didn't change out of our pj's all day!

Seth got a cell phone!! VERY BIG DEAL!!

Classroom party with Mrs. Bacon

Max received his Bobcat at scouts!!

Christmas Morning...

Santa Sing Along in St Charles with Grandma, Uncle Seth and cousins

School pictures... I got smart this year and volunteered to help! So when it was my kids turn I had the comb and hairspray ready :) And just an FYI I never buy the picture packages. I always just buy the CD for $20. Then when I get a snapfish email offering 50 prints for 50 cents I print out a bunch. Way cheaper and I get the rights to the pics too so I can do with them what I like :)

Also I am feeling total guilt because I haven't had their pictures taken professionally (well, besides school pics) since they were 3 years old!! Its so sad! I know that alot of people never buy school pictures but they are also really good about having family pics done. Its totally me though. I just need to get over the 'too fat' thing and do it!!
